Franklin County Soil and Water
Judge Mingo and staff attended the Franklin County Soil and Water Open House on September 19th. Their mission is to promote responsible land use decisions for the conservation, protection and improvement of soil and water resources by providing information assistance through effective partnering, technical guidance and education.
Judge Mingo would like to THANK everyone who participated and attended the 5th Annual Open House. It was a wonderful opportunity for our community to learn about resources available to them.
Judge Mingo and staff was honored to again participate in FamJam. Franklin County Children Services and the City of Columbus Department of Neighborhoods jointly presented this kid-friendly event for the 9th consecutive year.

The Franklin County Municipal Court Environmental Division will hold its 5th annual open house on Wednesday September 5th, 2019 from 10am to 2pm. Stop by and meet with more than 15 participating animal, environmental, and housing/building safety agencies. Get tips on how you can help your community!
Big Darby Creek State and National Scenic River Canoe Float
Chief Environmental Specialist, Kyle Kirker, took part in a 4.8 mile canoe float down Big Darby Creek. During the float, he made stops to see the Big Darby's exceptional aquatic life including fish and freshwater mussels. The float provided the opportunity to discuss current issues that are relevant to the long-term protection and conservation of both the Big and Little Darby Creeks.

Healthy Homes Presentation
Judge Mingo and Judge O’Leary of the Cleveland Municipal Court, Housing Division lead a discussion on "How Housing and Environmental Courts Can Impact Home-Based Health Hazards" at the Ohio Healthy Homes Network 2019 Spring Forum.
Hilliard Earth Day Celebration
In support of Go Green Hilliard, Judge Mingo and staff participated in Hilliards Earth Day Celebration. Go Green Hilliard is focused on providing resources to the local residents and businesses in an effort to conserve resources and protect the environment.
Party for the Planet
The Environmental Division staff took part in the Columbus Zoo and Aquariums Party for the Planet event. Guest of the Zoo interacted with Judge Mingo and staff and learned about the work of the Division and ways they can work together to improve life on Earth for all living creatures.
Columbus Humane hosted the Environmental Division on a tour of their facility on April 5. Thank you to the staff and the Humane Agents for taking time out of their day and educating us on the importance of the work they are doing for our community.
